Where Do We Start?

Where Do We Start?

We know it can be quite daunting.

What will it look like?

Can we maintain the ceiling heights and the timber floorboards that we love in our existing home?

What needs to be added or changed?

What are the rooms going to be used for?

What direction is the natural light coming from?

How can we keep the rooms cool in summer?

How much will it cost, what can we afford?

Should we build a second storey or is it better to build at ground level?

What are our options with regard to design and the specifications?

In the beginning, let's talk.

Our most important skill is listening to your ideas and your questions. We need to find out what is important to you. Even within the same family there are many different reasons for wanting to improve your home. It may be a double garage to house the big boy's toys.

Alternatively, a dream kitchen with loads of storage drawers and stone bench tops. Home theatre, en suite, store room, alfresco area. It may be a combination of these.

Whatever the need, we can help. We will give you an idea of the cost to build the various different rooms and we can also explain how long it will all take from the start of the design process, right through to us handing over the finished Home Improvement.

The next step.

If you engage us, we will first need to measure the existing home inside and out.

At the same time we will need to gather lots of information about your 'Wish List'. Such as how steep is the roof pitch? What kind of construction method has been used? Is it a brick and tile house, or weatherboard and metal roof? We need these details, and many others, before we can begin the design.

Shortly after measuring your home, we will hold a design meeting. These are held at our offices which are conveniently located in Osborne Park, Perth. If you prefer, we can also meet at your home.

We will show you our design solutions and explain what we have done. If any changes need to be made, we can discuss them during this meeting. You will also be advised what the design will cost to build and the cost implications of any changes.
